You Can Move Yourself Around in a Continuous Loop was the result of my participation in the SquareWorks: Lab Fellowship in Mumbai. During this week I took fragments of what people voiced as integral to their artist practice and constructed from these a framework through which to approach looking at the personal art collection of our host. The resulting texts - typed on a faulty typewriter that kept skipping - raised questions about the value and accuracy of historical and personal memory, the experience of 'gaps' or arrested time, public versus private domains and small post-colonial economies in the public and domestic sphere.
