My academic writing has experimented with literary form since I graduated from the Department of Visual Art & Design at AKV-St. Joost Art Academy (Breda, Netherlands) in 2010 with a thesis called Chemical Flesh and Paper Bones: Essays on Photography. My BA thesis was an exploration of the historical, philosophical and artistic challenges of the photographic portrait via a series of fictional interviews with Socrates, Philip Akkerman, Walter Benjamin, Roland Barthes, Cindy Sherman, and Fiona Tan.
My work received the Annual Dissertation Prize. Printed in limited edition. return |
